In light of many county school systems issuing field trip restrictions, we wanted to communicate our policy in regards to the COVID-19 virus, also known as coronavirus.
We are expecting 3,000 attendees (students, educators, parents, and volunteers) at TomeCon.
At this time, TomeCon 2020 is scheduled to proceed as planned.
Out of an abundance of caution, Tome Society is asking for any students, adults, or volunteers who have traveled to the countries designated by the CDC as Level II or higher in the 14 days prior to the event (March 10-24) to NOT attend. Right now, these countries include: China, Iran, South Korea, Italy, and Japan. Please let us know immediately if this applies to you.
Additionally, UNG’s facilities teams are regularly disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces.
We direct those with additional questions to the Georgia DOE Coronavirus website.
Refund policy: All TomeCon purchases (tickets, lunches, and t shirts) are non-refundable. However, if you (or one of your students) are unable to attend due to having traveled to the CDC Level II or higher, please contact us at tometeam@tomesociety.org and we will advise if we are able to provide a refund on a case-by-case basis.
Please contact us with any additional questions!
