annual Chapter Dues
Reading Bowl Participation Fee - $25.00 per year
Chapter dues are based on total school/organization size within chapter grade levels*.
See below for fee structure:

*For groups registering more than one chapter (e.g. private schools with an elementary and middle chapter, libraries with children in different levels, etc.) you will register and pay chapter dues separately for each chapter level. Dues are based on the total student count within that school/group level. Club Tome chapters will base dues on total number of students in grades 2-5.
*Chapter dues are nonrefundable. |
Ideas for getting started
- Register your chapter & pay dues by the eligibility deadline that applies to your club (Reading Bowl or TomeCon Early Registration).
- Optional: Register your Reading Bowl Team members by the eligibility deadline.
- Elect officers for your club
- Encourage chapter members to read all of the It List books for their grade level.
- Vote online for your favorite It List books as you read them!
- Have monthly (or more often) meetings. Use the Chapter Exclusive Books of the Month Discussion Guides to get you going. (Found on the Advisers page)
- Develop a Chapter Service project & design a newsletter about it for the Spring Competition.
- Encourage every chapter member to submit at least 1 local competition entry by the Fall & Spring deadlines.
- Submit 1 entry per competition to Tome for national judging in the Fall & Spring.
- Host Tome Literacy Week activities for your chapter in February.
- Encourage 11th & 12th graders to apply for Tau Omicron Mu Epsilon Honor Society membership each Spring.
- Encourage 12th graders to apply for the Dale Pratt Memorial Scholarship
- Come to TomeCon in March!
