Competition Guidelines

  • ALL students in registered, active chapter schools/organizations are eligible to compete in Tome Society Competitions - not just your Reading Bowl team or "club members"!
  • One (1) entry per competition, per chapter, is submitted to Tome Society for national judging each year.
    • Chapters with multiple entries in a category at the local level should hold a chapter competition prior to the deadline to determine which entries will be submitted to Tome.
  • Advisers will submit all of their competition submissions for each submission period at one time on the Competition Submission form found on the Advisers page.
  • Reading Bowl Championship takes place in-person at TomeCon. Get your tickets early in case you make it all the way!
  • Competition winners will be announced at the grade level awards ceremonies at TomeCon.
    • If you are unable to attend, certificates and awards will be mailed after TomeCon.
