the 2025-2026 tome society book award

The Tome Society Book Award is an annual book award list of 10 titles for elementary students, 12 titles for middle school students, and 20 titles for high school students.

The goal for the Tome Society Book Award is to provide students with a list of recently published, well-written, engaging novels they and the adults in their lives can trust to be awesome reads without worrying about excessive profanity and blush-worthy romantic scenes.

At Tome Society, we believe in intellectual freedom and strive to protect it; we also recognized a need for a book award list that promoted high-quality "PG" books for teens and young readers. The Tome Society Book Award list is an option in a large group of book award lists for students who want the choice to read new, clean, encouraging books.
