MArch 1 Submission Deadline Approaching

 Submission deadline is March 1, 2016 for both Spring Competitions AND Yearlong Competitions. Below is an outline of all the competitions/awards due on March 1 with a link to the FINAL version of the directions/rubric for the event for the 2015-2016 year.  These can also be found on our website at http://www.tomesociety.org/competitions.html 
 
We have several new Spring Competitions, so please review carefully.

TomeCon 2016 registration information will be forthcoming the beginning of next week.  All awards for fall/spring competitions will be given at TomeCon on March 17, 2016 at University of North Georgia Gainesville Campus.  Plus, there will be a wealth of activities all day for students who have not competed in any events during the year. Don't forget our Keynote Speaker with be Jaliegh Johnson, author of Mark of the Dragonfly.

CHAPTER

• *Best Chapter T-Shirt (Chapter Event - Must attend TomeCon to compete)

• Chapter Digital Scrapbook (Chapter Event (Team) - Spring submission)

• Chapter of the Year Submission Packet (Chapter(Adviser Compiles) - Overall, Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Honor Roll) File must be opened, saved, and edited with Microsoft Word
  

• Chapter Service Project Newsletter (Chapter Event (Team)- Spring submission)

 
INDIVIDUAL
COMPETITIONS

• Book Print Video  (Individual, 2 per chapter)
• *It List Book Talk (Individual, 2 per chapter Face-to-Face at TomeCon 2016)

• It List Fan Fiction (Individual, 2 per chapter)

• It List Graphic Novel (Individual, 2 per chapter)
• Techfolio  (Individual, 2 per chapter)
• Theme Essay Competition (Individual - 2 per chapter) 2015-2016 Theme: Choose Your Fight

AWARDS

• Membership Madness & Membership Mania (Individual Student Award) Awarded to existing local chapter members who recruit new members between January 1-March 1, 2016.
• Tome Service Award (Individual Student Award) Awarded to each individual student who completes 20 hours of literary service
• Tau Omicron Mu Epsilon Honor Society (11-12 grade ONLY and one time $15 dues) --Dues and minimum requirements must be met and verified by local chapter adviser. Deadline of March 1, 2016 --Inducted students will receive a TOME Honor Society Medal to wear at their high school graduation (if your school allows)
